• Began his career as a copywriter for a Chicago agency, then moved to St. Louis to work as a Senior Account Executive for the largest agricultural agency in the country, serving clients like Ralston Purina, Shell, and Cargill
  
• Spent nine years at Monsanto in various roles—Advertising Manager, Brand Supervisor, and Operations Manager for the company's midwestern markets.  He was charged with planning, creating, and implementing marketing and sales programs.
